This service enables newcomers to access the information and guidance they need in order to settle in their host community, to prepare their entry into the Canadian labour market and to become active citizens.

  • Canadian Law And Justice
  • Assistance in completing immigration forms and other forms of assistance
  • Improvement of language skills
  • Employment and income
  • Housing
  • Education
  • Health services
  • Money and finances
  • Transportation, communication and media
  • Legal issues
  • All other questions relating to settlement and integration

In addition to group sessions and workshops on these various subjects, CESOC organizes training sessions on parenting skills for immigrant parents. These workshops are made possible through funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, and given in partnership with the Ottawa Police Service, The Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa and the Francophone Catholic and public school boards of Ottawa.
